The ilumi app gives you the ability to create additional ilumi networks (a.k.a locations). This can be very useful for scenarios where you want two separate ilumi dashboards (home vs. office, for instance), as well as providing a channel for you to allow other ilumi users to share access/control of certain ilumi groups that you approve (and not others).
Step-by-Step
- Log into your ilumi app using your email and password. If you haven't yet created an account, you'll need to do that first. Once logged in, swipe right to left across the top navigation, arriving on the last tab titled 'More'.
- Next, tap on the 'Account' title at the bottom of the screen. This will bring you to your account overview page. Tap 'Main' to view your list of ilumi networks.
- You will now see a list of your ilumi networks. To add an additional network, tap 'Add Network' at the bottom of the screen. Fill in the details for your network and tap 'Save' at the bottom to create your network. You'll now see both of your ilumi networks listed.
Pro-tip: 'Main' is the default network name for all ilumi users, but you can change this by tapping the gear icon in the upper right-hand corner, then tapping the pencil next to the group you want to rename.
You can return to this screen at any time to toggle between networks. Keep in mind that an ilumi cannot be paired to two different networks at the same time, so you'll need at least one unique ilumi bulb in each network to use this feature.
